Welcome to the University of Rocca Civetta, the first of its kind which aims to study the natural habitat of several cultures in Italy. This is a university where even the best find it tough!
In Dungeonology the heroes will explore new places and their inhabitants with the aim of discussing their thesis and becoming the new professor in their own field of expertise.

Hello Scholars!
Holidays are over, and Rocca Civetta is back 100% operative! In today's lesson, we will continue the Circe's Bay expansion study, focusing on one of the new Bosses, the Sorceress Circe in person! But not only will we update you on the state of work of the I wave, we will also begin to show you unpublished material of the II wave that is currently under development! Let the lesson begin!
Bosses overview
As we have already mentioned, the Bosses of Circe's Bay add some new mechanics to your Dungeonology games. In fact, they will add Zone Effects to the Zones in which they are located and collect Information Cube in various ways, making the search for information more frenetic. The Scholar, therefore, in addition to collecting the cubes from the Zones, will also have to chase Bosses to try to steal their information, carrying out, as usual, a Stealth Test but paying attention to the fearsome abilities of Circe and Leonida!
Sorceress Circe
This version of Circe will add the Divination Effect to the Zone in which it is located. This means that when the Scholars try to Study in the Zone where the Sorceress is, they will have to draw a Trick Card and subtract its Bonus Value from their total Stealth test. This effect will add an unknown factor that should not be underestimated and will obviously make the study more dangerous.
Circe will also add the "Eye of Circe" effect to her Zone. This new, formidable effect, will make the Scholars acquire a Transformation Token every time they acquire a Stun Token and, as we will see better in the next Updates, having two Transformation Tokens will transform the Scholar into a Manimal!
During her activation, Circe will move 3 Zones towards a random Scholar, and one of the Information Cube in the Zone where she will stop will end up on her Boss card.
Meeting Circe can create truly hilarious situations. Every Scholar encountered by Circe on her path will have to randomize and apply a special effect that will lead to an early transformation, to the loss of Information Cube or, in the most fortunate cases, to get one of the Circe's Cubes ... yes, Circe is very fickle, it's well known.
This version of Circe focuses a lot on random effects, so if on the one hand, it won't allow you to make very effective long-term strategies, on the other hand the fun will be assured, and it's definitely a boss suitable for younger players or beginners .. .or simply if you want to play a game lighter than usual!
Circe's cards and painted model
Goddess Circe
In this incarnation, in addition to adding Eye of Circe to her Zone, Circe also has the Toll effect. Then the Scholar who will enter his Zone will have to Drop one of their Information Cube. This effect comes in combination with her special rules that will cause Circe to collect all the Cubes dropped by the Scholars due to Zone Effects or her Encounter Effect, regardless of where the Scholar drops the Cube.
The player who Activates Circe can move her by 3 zones, stopping if she encounters a Scholar. When Circe finishes her movement, she will drop one of her Information Cube in the Zone where she stopped. Finally, if Circe encounters a Scholar, she will force him to drop an Information Cube and automatically give him a Transformation Token.
This version is more tactical and will allow the player who activates her to go and disturb the other Scholar, but also to place Information in Zones that are more favorable to him, but will require some programming to be exploited to the fullest!
To conclude, the two versions of Circe will really add a lot of news in your Dungeonology games in both of her incarnations! And what do you think? Which is your favorite?
Production
I wave production is proceeding smoothly, and already next week we will receive the first production boxes. With the next update expect a rich unboxing of the three boxes that make up the I wave! The arrival in short time of these production copies, confirms us that times gived by the factory for the end of the production, will probably be respected and that therefore, only few months are left to the arrival of Dungeonology on your tables!
In the meantime, we are proceeding with the pre-production phase of the material of the II wave, and in each update, we will present you something new! This time we are proud to show you Andromeda's sculpt and Scholar card! We are delighted with this sculpture that perfectly embodies the spirit of the concept art that we showed you during the KS campaign. In one of the next updates, we will learn more about this particular Scholar from the Black Rose Wars (and way not? Sine Tempore) tables.
She came from a far past!
We remind you that HERE you can find all the I Wave rulebooks, in the 7 languages in which they are translated! (the German issue is fixed now eheheheh ^^')
That's all for this lesson, see you on the Board and in a couple of weeks for the new lesson where we will also meet the other Boss of Circe's Bay: Leonida!
This is ... Dungeonologyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! (ok, I stop myself)

Summer is magic

Hi Scholars!
Many of you are resting from the strains of the academic year, but the University of Rocca Civetta never closes, even during the summer holidays!
In this hot summer update, we will begin to go into more detail in the Circe's Bay Expansion, and of course, we start from the new Scholar that will be added to your class, so let's welcome Rocco!
Meet Rocco!
Rocco never had an academic background. In fact, he considers practice and training in the field way more important than study. Thanks to his navigational skills and his knowledge of the Mediterranean coasts, no secret will be kept from him for long. Although he is usually calm and reflective, sometimes (well… often) he loses his temper, turning into a real human tsunami!
With this presentation, you will get to know Rocco, the overwhelming new Scholar of Dungeonology, but we will see more in detail what our fisherman can do.
His statistics reflect his personality. Indeed fact, Rocco is not really a champion of sociality and not even a top in the theoretical study.
Therefore his values of Students and Intelligence are quite low, so he has to consider well his resources, and the Zones where it is better to collect Information Cubes. But if in these two characteristics, it does not excel in the others, it has values of all respect! With a value of 4 in Speed and Hand, our favorite fisherman is one of the most mobile Scholar in the game, and he will always have an excellent amount of Trick Cards. Plus his Stamina value allows him to stand up better than other Scholars for the Stun Tokens effects. Finally, the Knowledge Combo is not at all too difficult to obtain, which will allow him to peek at the Clan Card quite early in the course of a game.
Rocco is ready!
Now let's analyze his skills! Magic Anchor is activated during a Study action and allows him to take Information Cube not only from the Zone in which it is located but also from the adjacent ones. This already powerful ability is even more cool since for the Stealth test the Alert Value of the Zone in which Rocco is located will always be used! So, you can place yourself on a Zone with a low Alert Value, and aim to take Cubes from an adjacent Zone with a much higher value (which normally contain the most valuable Information Cubes)! A really tactical skill that will come in very handy if you know how to use it well.
Chum, his second ability, allows him, by discarding a Social Trick card, to steal a Trick card from an opponent's hand. This skill is more situational but can be very useful for hindering your opponents and getting rid of cards that are of little use to you.
Rocco's miniature
But what happens when a Fisherman becomes Exalted? Let's find out!
Exalted Rocco improves his characteristics of Students, Speed, Hand, and Intelligence by 1, thus becoming a real train! Moreover, in addition to maintaining Magic Anchor, it acquires 2 new skills.
Eye of Poseidon allows you to choose which Information Cubes to take after a successful Study Action, and as you may have already understood, it is deadly paired with Magic Anchor!
With Super Chum (which replaces Chum) you can, during a Stealth Test, make an opponent discard a card and add his Bonus Value to your Stealth Value for that test. Discarding a Social Trick card, this ability enhances Rocco's chances, he will not only damage an opponent but also gain an advantage during a Stealth Test!
We have come to the end of this in-depth analysis of our new Scholar, what do you say? Will it be your favorite? Are you already thinking about how to combat it? You have time until this fall to think about it, and in this regard, let's move on to production!
I Wave Production report
As also mentioned in the previous Update, we delivered all the files of the I wave to the factory in the times we had established.
At the moment, we are in the final phase of checking the graphic material that is coming to us from China. Once this phase is finished, the printing of the paper material will begin, while as you can see from the photos, the miniatures are already in print.
If everything goes smoothly, the entire production process will end between 5 and 20 September 2019, and shipments will start just after. So we are confident that between October and November 2019 you will receive the I wave, as promised (the time will obviously vary depending on the shipping areas).
We can't wait for you to receive the I wave to start venturing into the fantastic world of Dungeonology, and help the wait for the II wave... but don't worry we will be able to help you with updates always full of material and news!
An important note! I remind you that as described in our refund policy, since the I wave factory production started, it is no longer possible to submit refund requests. We are sorry if this could create problems, but the procedures for the production and the confirmation of the quantities do not allow us much room for maneuver. Requests still pending before the start of production and that have already been counted will still be executed.

If you are interested in being our ambassador for one or more days of the convention, you can fill out this Form, Marcobaleno will contact you and explain in detail the conditions of your collaboration!
Let's go! We are waiting for you!
And with this important announcement we concluded this Update, we will meet again at the end of August after a short break (LMS will be on vacation from 10 to 18 August), but in the meantime, we leave you with the image of Tommaso and Michele with their diabolical creation ... a giant Omega Student!
Happy summer to all... and please do not forget to study a little!

Hello Scholars!
Here we are with a new update, that after the efforts of the Pledge Manager will return to take care of what is most dear to you: the game!
We have so many things to tell you, so let's start immediately with this summer lesson!
I Wave production
As you know, we are pushing the accelerator, to be able to have all the material of the I wave ready for shipments in October!
At the moment the works are progressing great! The graphic files of all the paper material for all 7 languages were delivered to the factory on schedule, and we will now begin the revision phase that precedes the start of printing.
Translations and Editing for English, French, Polish, Spanish and Chinese, have been edited by our distributors' partners, and this time we are sure to have raised the translations quality bar.
For the German version, we commissioned a study of professionals in the sector, as well as the Italian one, which was directly supervised by us but revised by external studio.
As for the miniatures, as you can see from the photos of the Bosses, we received the first samples directly here at the studio, and the result is really amazing!
Laetus is ready to play!
The detail level of Dungeonology's miniatures is definitely superior even to our standards (that who knows our past works knows that it is already very high).
Roaaaar!
The beauty and the beast
Enjoy the photos and enjoy the moment when you have in your hands your fantastic miniatures ready to unleash panic in the Dungeon!
Everybody on the beach with Circe!
"On Mount Circeo, which overlooks the beautiful Mediterranean Sea, stands an imposing and mysterious palace. Since it is surrounded by a Mediterranean Maquis forest, arriving at the palace seems almost impossible, as if the forest plants themselves are moving to create ever-changing paths to confuse and divert unwanted guests. But if you come from the sea and traverse the white beach below the promontory, where mysterious sea creatures are said to gather, the rumors say that a Passage to the fabulous mansion can be found.
It is time to put into practice your experience as explorers, to unveil the secrets of Mount Circeo and enter the palace and find out if the legends that say it is still inhabited by the mysterious sorceress Circe and her servants are true.
Be careful, Scholars, because if you encounter the sorceress, you will have to resist her devious spells, capable of turning her enemies into servant animals for all eternity!
You are the ideal candidates for this job, so get going, and do not disappoint the expectations of Rocca Civetta!"
This is the introduction to the exclusive Circe's Bay expansion that you will receive with the I Wave. Now that it's ready for the print, let's take a closer look!
Enchantment trick cards
The Scholars will have a new ace in their hands to challenge Circe and to annoy their opponents: the Enchantment Trick Cards!
These new tricks will allow the Scholars to influence their opponents’ actions and exert mind control on the unfortunate Students.
Enchanting!
Moreover, through the Enchantment Trick Cards, the Scholars can hire new, spectacular Interns, like the Fortune Teller, the Leonine Guard, and the Witch.
The Auxiliary Effect of these new cards allows Scholars to Sacrifice a Student to Steal a random card from an opponent’s hand.
These new cards can be added to the trick card decks in any game you wish.
New Bosses
Circe and Leonida, the Bosses included in the Circe’s Bay expansion, are characterized by a new mechanic that allows them to add effects to the Zones in which they are placed, and increase the Zone Information Slots.
Oh My Goddess!
THIS IS DUNGEONOLOGYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
Every of the 4 new Boss version has 2 new sections:
Zone Effects: Circe’s and Leonida’s Boss Cards contain some Zone Effects. These effects must always be considered part of the Zone in which the Boss is located.
Information Slots: In the lower part of the Boss Cards of this expansion are Information Slots, utterly similar to those present in the Zones. These Information Slots are considered part of the Zone in which the Boss is currently located, to the right of those typically contained in it, and follow the same rules. Each Boss will have the opportunity to fill these Information Slots with their Skills, and Scholars will have the chance to Collect them as if they were in the Zone where is the Boss. If a Boss Collects an Information Cube but has no free slots, that cube is placed in the Reserve. Be careful! Since these slots are to the right of the normal ones in the Zone, the Information Cubes contained in them will always be the last available in the Zone and may be harder to Collect.
New Clan Cards
In Circe’s domains, five Clans, consisting of her servant Manimals, compete for power over the region: the wise Pigmen/Pigirls of the Philosophers of the Rind, the faithful Doguys/Dogals of the Wild Pack, the avid Jackasses/Jennies of the Greedy Donkeys, the enlightened Roostermen/Henladies of the Egg Readers, and the proud lion warriors of the Leonine Guards.
Clan Cards
Manimal cards
Venturing into Circe’s domains, the Scholars risk being turned into Manimals, the sorceress’ slaves.
The Zone Effect “Eye of Circe” and other Skills of this expansion’s Bosses will give to Scholars Transformation Tokens.
If a Scholar has two Transformation Tokens by the end of Turn Phase (of any player), they are transformed!
They must replace their Scholar Card on Note Board with a randomly selected Manimal Card.
Are you ready to do animal cries during your games?
A Scholar turned into a Manimal is still considered a Scholar for the purposes of all game effects. The Scholar will continue playing with the Manimal card, following the instructions on it, until they get back to normal...and of course, he cannot turn Exalted while is a Manimal!
A totally new Dungeon!
Circe's Bay gives you a totally new dungeon to explore, and ass for the one in the core box is divided into 3 Levels.
The first Level is set in the Hidden Beach below Monte Circeo. The Scholars will have to overcome its pitfalls to access the Mediterranean Maquis in which Circe’s servants hide the entrance to her mansion.
Let's go on the Beach!
Beyond the beach, there is a thick Mediterranean Maquis. Here are hidden the Clans of Manimals who serve the sorceress.
Unveiling the secrets of this place, the Scholar will be able to find the secret portals that give access to Circe’s Mansion, a magnificent palace made of white marble, placed on the top of Mount Circeo.
Mortals who succeed in accessing it risk being transformed forever into Manimals, but those who manage to escape from it can bring with them riches and knowledge of the immortal Circeo’s goddess!
An overlook on the Mediterranean Maquis and the Palace!
We arrived at the end of this quick look at Circe's Expansion; in the next updates, we will see in detail some elements like the Trick Cards, Bosses and of course Rocco the Fisherman, a new Scholar who will join the University with this expansion!
We conclude this rich update warning that at the moment, it appears that some backers have not yet confirmed their Pledge Manager and that they have until the end of the month to do so, after which there may be delays in their shipments, so don't waste time! If you have to complete the PM do it fast!
See you in a couple of weeks for a new update and on the board for your comments!

Pledge Manager is closing today!

– Sun, Jun 30, 2019 at 03:32:35 AM
Hello Scholars!
A quick update just to remind you that:
The Pledge Manager will close today 30 June 2019 at 12 AM (CEST)!
At the moment it appears that 235 backers have not completed their orders, so hurry up!
I also remind you that the payments will be loaded onto your cards within a week, unless you have used PayPal, in this case, the payment was made when you completed your order.
We know that the prices of shipments have triggered many discussions and complaints, and we know that many hoped to have more precise estimates for the second wave before the closing of the PM. Unfortunately, we do not yet have exact data to estimate shipping that will take place in 8 months from now, and any estimate could be discontented in one way or another, as well as being fatally wrong both for you and for us.
The promise we make to you is always the same, LMS will make every effort to ensure that the costs of the II wave are lower and, as we have done in the past, we will help you to the best of our ability.
The numbers tell us that great most of you trust us and we are willing to honor your trust in the best way!
Once again... Thank you, thank you, thank you!
See you next week for an update entirely dedicated to the production of I wave, and some new sneak peeks!
