Welcome to the University of Rocca Civetta, the first of its kind which aims to study the natural habitat of several cultures in Italy. This is a university where even the best find it tough!
In Dungeonology the heroes will explore new places and their inhabitants with the aim of discussing their thesis and becoming the new professor in their own field of expertise.

Hello Scholar!
For this week's update, we thought we would give you a more concrete taste of Wave 2 by presenting the English rulebook of one of the most anticipated expansions!
Exactly! By following this link you will be able to download the Rigor Mortis rulebook and start reading the rules of the craziest and (really) bad Dungeonology expansion!
At the moment this pdf version is in high definition but in the next weeks, we will also publish the print-friendly version, which will be easier to access!
Any kind of feedback will be welcome and since we still have some time before printing, if we see fit, we will be able to further improve the final version of the rulebook also thanks to your last-minute comments!
Soon we will also publish the versions in other languages that will be based on this version in English!
Before saying goodbye and wishing you a good reading, we show you the now usual production chart updated this week.
As mentioned last week the work on the mass production of the miniatures has started and will continue in the coming weeks, but in the meantime, we are continuing the processing of the graphic files and the translations of the various expansions of Dungoenology that we hope to submit to you shortly as we have just done for the Rigor Mortis Rulebook!
That's all for today! See you next week!
Be safe!
Let me Petrify you

Hello Scholars!
In this week's update, we're taking a closer look at another Wave 2 Mega Boss, and trust me, when you see his size you will be petrified... literally!
We are talking about the most fearsome, psychedelic, and very nice reptile of our history, The Basilisk!
Let's start by saying that the miniature of him is really massive!
A huge Basilisk sighted!
The final model will be slightly larger than we anticipated during the KS campaign, which in the end turned out to be a pleasant surprise and will look even better on your tables.
The size change was mainly dictated by technical reasons but also by artistic reasons in order to enhance even more an important piece like this.
In a game, The Basilisk can be used in two different ways: as a "standard" Boss or as Megaboss by using its special scenario.
In the Boss version, his powers will focus on petrifying your Students (the Basilisk loves collecting Students... it's a sort of geek after all!) Thus taking away important resources to play your skills or Trick cards. Furthermore, The Basilisk will use the petrified Students against you to hinder you in your studies, while increasing the statues in his collection!
Special Boss for a special Scenario
In the Megaboss Special Scenario, you will instead hunt the eggs to study them and steal valuable information about this strange creature. In this mode will be used the Eggs' miniature which, as shown previously, can contain an Information Cube.
For sure the Basilisk Mum will not be very happy that nosy Scholars play with her eggs (with the risk of making an omelet) and will use all her powers to petrify the Scholars and put them in her collection!
What do you think? Will you risk becoming a beautiful Statue for the sake of studying?
Before concluding today's update, the usual look at the state of work for the production of Wave 2.
Production Chart
As you can see from our chart, finally the mass production of the miniatures has started and therefore a new important step towards fulfillment has been taken! From experience from previous projects, production will last about 2 months if no problems of any kind arise.
Translations are also progressing, albeit not as fast as we would like, but we don't want to sacrifice final quality to save time at this point in the project.
That's it for this week! see you next week!
Stay safe!
Campaign Mode!
– Sat, Feb 27, 2021 at 01:47:35 PM
Hello Scholars!
as you may have guessed from the title of this week's update, today we will talk about the Campaign Mode for Dungeonology!
There can be no campaign mode without a useful Campaign Sheet!
You will find these new rules in the Rocca Civetta rulebook and it will be a mode that will lead you to use every single wave 2 component!
But let's see in more detail how it will work!
In the Campaign Mode, players will play the role of the Rocca Civetta teachers who want to grab the chair of Dungeonology left empty by Professor Enrico.
To assign the chair, the Magnificent Rector has launched a competition that will take place over the 12 months of the academic year, and therefore 12 will be the games you will have to face to complete the campaign.
Each player will then choose a team of 2 Scholars with whom he will face the campaign and before each game, he will have to choose which of his two Scholars to play it with.
At the end of each game, based on the result and the points obtained, each player will receive a certain amount of Support Points, with which he can buy upgrades to face the next game in a more prepared way.
These upgrades range from the purchase of Specials, Students (even those belonging to Brotherhoods), and additional Trick cards.
Each game of the campaign will be linked to a month of the year and all will have a dedicated flavor as well as special rules and Bosses!
We will then start in September with the entrance exam (a sort of introductory game very useful for new players), to continue in October with the beer festival. In December, winter will be coming and therefore you will have to deal with Freddo, in April with the Spring festival you will go hunting for Easter eggs with Bunnybaleno and so on until August where you will give the final exam by the sea, facing Scilla & Cariddi!
A Mission for each month!
To better deal with this mode, you can use the handy Campaign Sheet to keep up to date its progress and save the situation between one game and another!
This is just the tip of the iceberg of the Campaign Mode, with which you can play Dungeonology in a whole new way!
What do you think? Do you feel ready to push your scholarly skills beyond all limits?
Before saying goodbye, here is the now usual update on production!
As anticipated in the last update, the mass production of the miniatures will start in March, when the factory in China will return to full capacity, in the meantime the translators' work on the new material is continuing, so in the production chart there are no substantial changes compared to last week.
That's it for today, see you next week!
Studying is an Art!

Hello Scholars
In this week's appointment, we want you to take a look at the fantastic Artbook!
One of this project's most appreciated add-ons, where more than in any other LMS project, the research work done on the graphic style is really different from the usual, and accurate in every aspect.
Ladies and gentlemen...The Artbook!
Leafing through this 60-page hardcover book you will get to know all the work done by artists, graphic designers, and 3d sculptors to give Dungeonology a truly unique style, which winks at the world of comics or cartoons, but with original elements especially for the miniatures.
In the Artbook, you will also find all the study done by the 3D sculptors to achieve the fantastic final result that we have shown you in the latest updates.
Finally, lovers of the Dungeonology lore will be able to discover unpublished particulars about the protagonists' stories and immerse themselves even more in this colorful and fascinating setting.
It was hard but exhilarating work for all the artists who participated in the project and this Artbook pays tribute to their commitment by giving to the collectors a new art book to add to their collection!
Art from Leonardo's Workshop new Clan cards
We conclude this update with our "Work in Progress chart"!
WIP Chart updated
About miniatures, the factory has not yet resumed work at full speed for the Chinese New Year, it is likely that mass production will start in early March when the factory will be back at full capacity.
On the Translations front, our collaborators are progressing and we are noticing small advances but as we have told you it is the slowest and most demanding work of this last phase of mass pre-production.
That's it for today! I'll see you next week!
Production update!
– Fri, Feb 12, 2021 at 04:53:08 PM
Hello Scholars
given the many requests from the community from this week, we will start giving you more detailed updates on the production status of wave 2, as well as of course continuing to give you spoilers on the contents and materials you will receive in a few months!
To help you better visualize the progress of the work, we have prepared this graph where, in perfect Dungeonology style, you can get a more precise idea of the progress of the work and its progress.
Production Status
As you can see, the graph is divided according to the 4 expansions you will receive with wave 2, as well as the Rocca Civetta box which, as you will remember, is the box that will contain all the Stretch Goals unlocked during the KS campaign.
For each expansion, we have separated the various production sectors, and for each sector, a different "Students" indicates the status of the works.
We have 3 Status:
Work Complete - The works are complete!
In Development - The work is still ongoing.
Standby - The work is currently in pause because you have to wait for the end of a previous step. You will see this status mainly in translations, as translators must complete the translation of one box before moving on to the next.
As can be appreciated from the chart, the bulk of the work that still has to be completed concerns the translations, a phase that we know to be very long and for which we are relying on external professionals and which remains in practice the biggest obstacle for the pre-production completion.
We have also completed the review of all the miniatures and mass production is currently on standby for the Chinese New Year Holiday, but will start as soon as the factory in China reopens its doors.
At the current stage of work, the ETA that we announced last December, set for summer 2021, is confirmed. When mass production of the paper material begins and we can then start booking ships, we will be able to give you a more precise date, but we are more than confident that wave 2 will make your (and ours!) summer really hot!
We will update the chart in each weekly update so that you can follow the progress of the work in a transparent and safe way!
