Welcome to the University of Rocca Civetta, the first of its kind which aims to study the natural habitat of several cultures in Italy. This is a university where even the best find it tough!
In Dungeonology the heroes will explore new places and their inhabitants with the aim of discussing their thesis and becoming the new professor in their own field of expertise.

Hello Scholars!
In this week's update, we will take a new tour of Leonardo's Workshop, taking a look at the new contents of this expansion.
In Update #19 we had already seen some of the mechanics that characterize this expansion, but today we will show you how to use it to play a more classic Dungeonology game using the components that you will find in this rich box.
The Workshop Areas differ from those of the base game in that all their accesses require certain Information Cubes to be passed.
In a game that uses the expansion rules, you will have your headaches to manage these limited accesses but for a standard game inside the Workshop (dungeon) you will have to use special Passpartout tokens to free access to the first areas that you will discover from the starting tile.
The first player will start with two of these tokens while the other Scholars will have one each.
Once used, the token will be placed on the door you want to open, and once opened, it will remain open for the rest of the game and all players can use it.
In the Example Tancredi is the first player and use his 2 Passpartout, meanwhile, Rebecca enjoys the one used by Sophia and her own ones to go deeper in the Workshop
This apparently trivial rule will actually trigger new dynamics between players who can decide to collaborate at the beginning of the game or each player will be able to use their token for their own strategy trying to hinder the other Scholars or take advantage of the doors opened by others to their own benefit!
Another feature of this game-mode is the dungeon creation, which will not be generated using 3 different stacks depending on the level of the areas (as happens in the core-game) but will instead be created from a single stack of areas positioned in order starting from those of level 1 up to level 3.
You can then decide how to face the Leonardo test and his workshop, whether with the specific rules of this expansion or as a more classic dungeon albeit with some differences!
Models!
But many other surprises await you in Leonardo's Workshop, where you can also meet a new Scholar, Tancredi the Architect, who as a student of Leonardo will do all he can to make a good impression with his teacher, entering the competition for the chair of Dungeonology!
We will get to know Leonardo, Mechalisa, and Tancredi better in the next updates, in the meantime give us your feedback!
2 New Bosses and a new Scholar await you in the Workshop!
See you next week!

Hello Scholars!
A couple of days ago we finally received the pure samples of the wave 2 miniatures and in addition to being able to touch the quality of the sculptor's work (which is confirmed to be excellent), we finally got our hands on the most awaited miniature of all!
We are talking about Scilla & Cariddi, the gigantic Mega-Boss of Dungeonology!
We could not avoid taking pictures exclusively for you to make you appreciate the quality of this model, absolutely amazing!
S&C miniature!
She's a real Mega-Boss!
We also take this opportunity to show you the rest of the material you will use with this Boss: the Tentacles and the Mega-Zone that will host S&C! This room, 4 times larger than a normal DNG room, will have to be used if you decide to play using S&C as the game boss, and will be compatible with all available expansions, so you can use the Circe's bay and Leonardo's Workshop zones.
The S&C rules will be closely linked to those of her room and our brave students will have to deal with completely new mechanics both to collect the Information Cubes (hidden by her tentacles) and to discuss their Thesis.
Mega-Boss components!
The S&C room will be accessible only through the Teleports that will appear in the Dungeon and once inside the Scholars will have to pass tests in order to collect the information cubes hidden by her Tentacles and lower the difficulty of the Thesis. But in the meantime, S&C won't miss any chance to hinder Scholars with her abilities and sending her tentacles around the dungeon!
A Mega-Zone for a Mega-Boss!
Facing the Queen of the Messina strait will be a new exciting challenge for all of you!
That's all for today! As always, let us know what you think of this new material!

Hellos Scholars!
Another week has passed and here we are again for the usual appointment with the Dungeonology wave 2.
As you can see from the images we present, even today we present a gallery of miniatures freshly baked from the factory.
As we explained to you in the last update, these are the printing tests that precede the start of mass production.
Today we show you two bosses: Omega and Leonardo; and two of the new Scholars: Claudio the Hunter and Caterina the Alchemist!
We are very satisfied with the final result but let us know your feedback too!
Fear the Omega
Caterina "I love poison" Sforza
Claudio the Hunter
Leonardo the (flying) genius
But since we don't need only miniatures, today we also show you some of the new artworks we have prepared for wave 2!
These artworks come from the new Clan cards that you will find in the Rocca Civetta box and definitely make these new Clans really intriguing ... do you feel prepared enough to study them?
The shadows in the woods...
Centaurs clan? Yes, please!
Winter fauns...brrrr
Again, give us your feedback!
That's all for today! See you in a week!
A new academic year!

Hello Scholars!
A new year has begun and we hope you all got off to a good start!
After the Christmas break, we resume the weekly appointments with Dungeonology to keep you updated on the wave 2 production!
At Rocca Civetta the year started very well as we received from the factory the first pics showing the physical Masters for the miniatures mass production!
We are happy to show you a preview of some of these Masters and as you can see for yourself the result is excellent!
Today we will show you some of wave 2 "big guys" and a couple of new Bosses!
Mechalisa from Leonardo'Workshop Expansion
The Basilisk
Capagrezza
Jukas... yes on the base you can spot a Crono's face!
The high quality of wave 1 has been maintained, so anyone who worries about a miniature lower quality for wave 2 can rest assured that the new models will be just as amazing as (if not more so) the ones you have already received.
We look forward to receiving the first copies here in our studio, where we can take more detailed pics for you to appreciate the hard work of our sculptors!
That's all for today, but we still have a lot of stuff to show you to keep you busy while you wait for wave 2, so don't miss the next updates!
See you next week!

Hello Scholars!
for this week's appointment, a quick update to inform you about the production status of Wave 2 and to say goodbye before the Christmas holidays!
As you already know, the production of Dungeonology Wave 2 suffered a strong delay also due to the problems we encountered due to the restrictions that have characterized life in Italy and in the rest of the world in the last months.
Although with many difficulties, we managed to finish the rewriting and playtest of the new rules satisfactorily for us, and now, the pre-production and translation phase of all the rulebooks and cards that make up wave 2 has begun.
In this phase, the Revised Core Rulebook is obviously included which, as we announced a few weeks ago, will be printed in all languages and included in Rocca Civetta's box, together with all the Stretch Goals unlocked during the KS campaign.
Regarding the new rulebook, we plan to provide the downloadable version in English and Italian as early as the end of January, and the other translations will follow so that those of you who want it can give us your feedback before the final printing.
The revision of the STL files for the miniatures, conducted together with the technical team of our production partners, took a little longer to guarantee the quality level up to wave 1 and we plan to start the final print as soon as possible.
Summing up, at the moment we can confirm the ETA we gave you about a month ago, set for May 2021 for the end of mass production. This of course, in the hope that 2021 will not present the unpleasant surprises of the year that is about to end.
Yep, 2020 is leaving (finally!) And it's time to say goodbye! For the time of the Christmas holidays, the weekly updates take a break and we, therefore, give you an appointment on January 7, 2021, with Professor Enrico Boss' version!
Merry Christmas!
The whole Ludus Magnus Studio team thanks you for your support and patience and wishes you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, with the hope that 2021 will bring you many good things... and of course the wave 2 of Dungeonology! ^_^
